Group Study Rooms in the Library

The Library has four rooms available and their primary purpose is to support student group work.

Access to Seminar Rooms

These spaces are bookable by:
  • Students
  • Staff (out of Term Time only)
  • Local community groups by arrangement with the Librarian

The Library retains and exercises responsibility to manage access.

Before and during exams the rooms will be for quiet study only

Rooms, Description and Location

Floor 1

Clermont - holds a maximum of 15 people. Has wireless access, PC, TV

Floor 2

Anaverna – holds a maximum of 15 people. Has wireless access and a TV/Video

Slieve Foye – holds a maximum of 30 people. Has wireless access, projector, TV/Video, PCs

Whitaker - holds a maximum of 12 people. Has wireless access.

All Library Codes of Conduct apply when using these rooms.

  1. Mobile phones must be on silent within the Library.
  2. The Library has priority access to all of these spaces.
  3. Rooms can be booked for a period of 1 hour.
  4. If a group is late by more than 10 minutes then the room may be given to another group.
  5. Rooms should be tidied and ‘left as you found’ them.
  6. Tea/coffee (but not hot food) can be ordered from the Institute Restaurant for consumption within the Seminar Rooms.
  7. You are responsible for all activities, care and maintenance of these spaces for the duration of your use.
