Schools and Departments

Dundalk Institute of Technology has four Schools, and each School has several Departments with many courses (or 'programmes') on offer. You can also study part-time at the Lifelong Learning Centre or apply for one of the many apprenticeships on offer (through the School of Engineering).

The School of Business Studies & Humanities is the largest School in DkIT, with many new and imaginative courses coming online all the time. It has four separate departments/sections.

A career in Engineering probably offers a greater range of opportunities than just about any other career choice. The School of Engineering in DkIT will teach you to also have the best knowledge and skills required to work in this industry. It has 4 separate departments.

The School of Informatics and Creative Arts, in existence since 2004, has a diverse range of courses on offer in the areas of computing, multimedia and music. The school aims to blend together the technical and the creative with a view to producing graduates with skills appropriate to the needs of tomorrow and in tune with the emerging global creative economy. The courses range from Internet Technologies to Creative Multimedia to Applied Music.

The School of Health and Science here in DkIT was formed in 2004 and consists of almost 1000 students. We offer an exciting range of programmes ranging from Level 6 to Level 10 in a friendly and supportive environment.
